James McCain

Highly developed expertise in the turnaround of troubled companies, and the start-up of new ventures.  He has experience in 20 different industries and has led the development of 6 start-up companies in the appliance manufacturing, high temperature materials, medical devices, supply chain, and software industries.

In addition to start-up ventures in the US he has managed the start-up of companies in both Singapore and Aberdeen, Scotland.

He has developed and ran large operations in the US for both German and Netherlands companies and has directly managed manufacturing operations in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark.

He retired from the business world in 2018 and pursued his adult life interest in woodcarving.  This has now led to the start-up of Eagles for Veterans (EFV), a nonprofit Maine company. EFV is dedicated to the carving/painting/gilding of Eagles in the style designed, and made famous, by John Haley Bellamy (b1836-d1914) of Kittery Point, Maine. We then donate these Eagles to Veteran Organizations in honor of their service.

Jim Oliver

Jim retired from Yankee Alliance, a group of hospitals and healthcare organizations nationwide, based in Andover, Massachusetts in 2018. He served as the organizations President and CEO for 10 years. He was the fifth employee hired by Yankee and over 30 years held several positions of increasing responsibility. He currently lives in Bethel, Maine with his wife (an avid quilter) and enjoys spending time with his two grandchildren who also live in town.

Over the years Jim gained a love for woodworking, woodturning, and woodcarving. He is also an avid bird carver. He had the opportunity to meet James and learn about Eagles for Veterans through “Chip Chats” a woodworking magazine. After a few calls and emails, he began volunteering to assist in the carving of the eagles. It’s personally rewarding to be a part of the creation of these pieces of art that honor the service of those who serve and have served our great country!

Diane Desporte

Is a Human Resource professional with experience leading teams and implementing change at major corporations such as Philips Electronics, The Oreck Corp, General Electric, and Sabic, a division of ARAMCO.

She has been recognized for her high level of competency through her assignment to positions of greater responsibility and authority throughout her business career. These positions range from an entry level position in HR at The Regina Vacuum Company, through promotion to the Corporate Vice President of Human Resources with The Oreck Corp, a $400 million company at the time of her work there.

Diane is an extremely busy Wife and Mother of 2, now supporting their move trough HS and into college. She has her MBA, and is much involved in her church, The Boy Scouts, and in many of the Chamber of Commerce organizations along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
