On June 6,2022 James traveled to Mt. Vernon, ME to present our first of two Eagles to the Travis Mills Foundation. This visit was coordinated with Christine Johnson, of the Travis Mills Foundation,
I think it best to let this organization explain in their own words who they are, and what they are doing to support wounded Veterans; taken right from their website, www.travismillsfoundation.org:

Our Mission
The Travis Mills Foundation supports recalibrated veterans and their families through various programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation.
We support these veterans through our nationally recognized retreat located in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine. Veteran families who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service to our nation receive an all-inclusive, all-expenses-paid, barrier-free experience in Maine where they participate in adaptive activities, bond with other veteran families, and enjoy much-needed rest and relaxation in Maine’s outdoors.
When veteran families attend our retreat, we provide the following activities – adaptive and traditional – to meet their needs:
Yoga; Guest Chefs; Martial Arts (self-defense); Challenge Ropes Course; Cycling; Horseback Riding; Shooting Sports; Hiking; Golfing; Massage Therapy; Ice Fishing
Culinary Arts; Archery; Kayaking; Canoeing; Boating; Fly Fishing; Bass Fishing; Guided Fishing Trips; Pottery; Painting; Snowshoeing
Eagles for Veterans is so proud to be a supporter of The Travis Mills Foundation and this first Eagle will be auctioned at their Silent Auction this summer to provide additional funding for their Mission. Before the end of 2022 we will provide them a second Eagle to hang on their wall.
